Destination: Cape Fear, North Carolina, USA
We spent the week in Wilmington, North Carolina, working with the Cape Fear Habitat for Humanity affiliate. This is a very busy affiliate, and we worked on the 18th house in a whole neighborhood of Habitat houses! We worked all over the house, from the heating and cooling ducts underneath the floor, to that lovely yellow siding, to the shingles on the roof. We learned the virtues of doing it right the first time, the joys of southern hospitality, and developed a deep love for hush puppies.
