Habitat for Humanity of High Point, was organized in 1987 as a non-profit, housing organization with the mission of providing safe, decent and affordable housing for low-income working families living in sub-standard or poor housing. In 2007, the affiliate celebrates 20 years of building homes and changing lives. Soon, we’ll complete our 60th home. The Vietnamese family (the Nguyens) we were building a house for lives in a one room, 400 square foot apartment with only a few chairs and mattresses as furniture. They would like a Habitat home so the kids can have more space, real bedrooms and a safe yard to play in.
